The Saga health website doctor has been working in general practice in north London for over 20 years and answering questions from Saga site visitors for the past five years.

While she answers all questions as fully as she can in the absence of a personal consultation, you are strongly advised to consult your own doctor before making important changes relating to your health and to treatment of any symptoms or specific conditions.

Please supply as much relevant information as you can in your question: for example, your age and sex, the names of any prescription medication you are taking and how long you have had the symptoms.

Questions can only be answered on the site and we regret that the experts cannot send personal replies. If your question is selected, the answer will be posted on the relevant expert’s page. All published questions will be anonymous and your email address and any other information you provide will not be used for any purpose other than answering the question.
