We’ve got 20 tickets to give away for one of the year’s gardening highlights, offering advice, ideas and shopping in the stunning surroundings of Audley End.
One of the loveliest days out in the gardening calendar returns to Audley End House and Gardens next month. The BBC Gardeners’ World Autumn Fair brings together expert advice, beautiful seasonal displays, specialist plants and inspiring ideas to help you make the most of your garden as the seasons change. We are delighted to have 20 tickets for readers to win, plus 20% off purchased tickets.
The fair, held in association with English Heritage at Audley End House and Gardens, Saffron Walden, from 11-13 September 2026, is a boutique gardening event and marks the start of the next growing season in suitably grand surroundings. Visitors can wander through showcase gardens and admire beautiful borders, pick up clever ideas for pots, inspiration for outdoor entertaining, and discover ways to extend colour and interest into autumn and winter.
There will be seasonal tips and conversations with BBC Two Gardeners’ World presenters Frances Tophill, Adam Frost, Ashley Edwards and Sue Kent alongside other gardening experts.
Talks, demonstrations, tours and practical workshops will offer advice for gardeners of all levels, whether you are planning an autumn refresh, harvesting produce or thinking ahead to next year.
Specialist growers, nurseries and retailers will be on hand with seasonal plants, gardening kit, tools and accessories, while a plant creche means you can browse without carrying your purchases all day. Away from the borders, the Good Food Market brings together street food, artisan treats, drinks and tastings, with live music adding to the relaxed atmosphere.
Tickets include entry to Audley End’s grand mansion, including its great hall, state rooms, servants’ wing, stables and chapel, as well as the organic walled kitchen garden, grounds, parkland and children’s play area. Well-behaved dogs on leads are welcome in the grounds, too, making it an easy day out for four-legged companions.
To enter for a chance to win one of 20 free tickets, email competitions@saga.co.uk with “Audley End” in the subject line – please include your contact details in the body of the email.
