Five ways to please a man in bed

1. Explore more

Sex expert Siski Green is author of the book How To Blow His Mind In Bed. She says: “Men are always being told to spend more time exploring other parts of a woman’s body, but the same advice could be given to women.

“Explore his chest and abdomen with your hands, squeeze his behind and caress his skin from top to toe, to make sure all his nerve endings are on fire.”

Relationship expert Jan Day adds: “Stroking and connecting with his whole body (naked if possible) is a lovely beginning.

“Most men do enjoy having their genitals included in the touch. Aim to transmit a sense of loving them with your looks, touch and words without trying to get anywhere.”

2. Ask him what he likes

Day says: “Talk to him and ask him what he most likes (kissing, stroking etc) and if there is anywhere he doesn’t want to be touched. This will really put him at ease. 

“Older men also often like just to be touched and stroked with a bit less emphasis on genitals. But of course, every man is different, so you have to tune in, ask, observe and experiment to discover his sweet spots.”

3.Tell him what works for you

Don’t forget to let him know what you enjoy. Green says: “He can’t read your mind.

“So tell him when you’re enjoying what he’s doing. ‘That feels great,’ or even simply, ‘Yes,’ can be enough to give him the right clues. Ideally, you’ll communicate even more than that.

“Men love instructions, especially if they’re given in a loving way, because it means they can give you more pleasure. If you don't feel comfortable using words to communicate, try soft moaning to let him know when something feels good.”

4.Take your time

“What men love in bed does change as they get older,” says Day. “Although perhaps not as dramatically as it changes for women. Usually a man’s libido decreases as he ages, so he is less goal oriented and often wants things to go a little slower with less focus on orgasm (though he will still enjoy that when it happens).

“He may not get an erection at all, he may be sensitive about this and so it’s even more important to let him know how much you enjoy intimacy with him whatever the outcome.”

5. Take time to cuddle afterwards

Day says: “Older men often also love to cuddle and connect after a sexual encounter, so enjoy that quality time together.”

Green adds: “Both men and women want to feel loved and special after sex, so make time to hold him and tell him how special he is.”
